Emma Willis exits The Voice after 12 years as successor is named

Emma Willis is stepping down as host of The Voice UK after more than 12 years with the singing competition.

The 50-year-old presenter has confirmed she is leaving the ITV programme, which she has fronted since its 2014 launch.

Her departure follows her recent appointment to a new role on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Maya Jama has emerged as the leading candidate to succeed Willis on The Voice UK.

The 31-year-old Love Island host has held discussions with producers in recent months and has reportedly been offered the position.

A source indicated that Jama has fielded multiple approaches from broadcasters in the UK and the United States.

Early talks with the production team did not advance due to her existing commitments, but her team is now reviewing available opportunities.

Jama has not confirmed whether she will accept the role, as she weighs several other projects, including ventures in the US.

If she joins, it would be her second primetime ITV entertainment role after fronting Walk The Line in 2021.

The next series of The Voice UK is scheduled to film this autumn with a refreshed format.

Coaches Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher of McFly are also reported to be leaving the programme.

The broadcaster has not confirmed Willis’s replacement, and Jama has not publicly addressed the speculation.
