Entrepreneur Steven Bartlett Faces Criticism for Perception of Disconnection Following Podcast Comment

Reality TV star Steven Bartlett has found himself in hot water once again, this time for a remark he made about flying his barber to the US for a haircut.

The entrepreneur, who rose to fame after becoming the youngest investor on a popular BBC reality series, made the comment during an interview with billionaire investor Jeremy Grantham.

During the conversation, Bartlett shared a story about how his barber, Damon, flew to the US to give him a haircut and didn't feel well after eating food from a local restaurant.

However, fans were quick to pick up on the casual mention of a transatlantic flight for a hairdressing job and took to social media to express their disapproval.

"Great interview, but the 'my barber flew out to give me a haircut' line is the douchiest thing I've ever heard," one fan wrote.

Another fan pointed out that flying a barber to the US for a haircut was a sign of a "bubble" and not a responsible use of resources.

This is not the first time Bartlett has faced criticism for his comments, as he has previously been accused of fuelling misogyny and has been called out for his choice of guests on his popular podcast.

Just weeks ago, another comment he made about wine ruining his week resurfaced and was labelled "nonsense" and "embarrassing" by fans and celebrities alike.

The reality TV star has made a name for himself as a young entrepreneur and has a large following on social media, but it seems that his comments are constantly putting him in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

It remains to be seen how Bartlett will respond to the backlash, but for now, it seems that his comments are causing more harm than good.
