Stephen Bear, a 36‑year‑old former reality‑television participant, pleaded guilty to five breaches of the sex‑offender register at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
The offenses relate to his failure to notify police about an international trip to Brazil and to report his return to the United Kingdom within the required three‑day period.
During the Brazil trip, Bear obtained a new passport and opened two additional bank cards, both of which he did not disclose to authorities.
The journey began in January 2025 and ended in April 2026, when he returned following the death of his father.
His legal representative contended that Bear was unaware of the notification requirement and that the extra bank cards were intended as financial backups after his original card was blocked.
The passport replacement was arranged through the British consulate after his original document was lost, and the two bank cards were opened in May of the current year.
Bear previously received a 21‑month custodial sentence in 2023 for uploading a private sexual video of his former partner, Georgia Harrison, to an online platform; he served roughly half of that term before being released in January 2024.
He is scheduled to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday for sentencing on a separate breach of a restraining order protecting Harrison.
Harrison, who waived anonymity during the 2023 trial, has recently been honored with an MBE for her work raising awareness of online privacy and image‑based sexual abuse.
She declined to attend the recent hearing, stating that appearing would give Bear the attention he seeks, and emphasized her commitment to changing a culture that rewards such behavior.
Since the 2023 case, Harrison has advocated for stronger legal protections for victims of non‑consensual image distribution.
