President Trump Gives Tic Tacs to Vance, Bessent

President Donald Trump attended the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham at Washington National Cathedral on Tuesday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were also present in Washington for the ceremony.

Lindsey Graham, a 71‑year‑old senator from South Carolina, died earlier this month following a brief, sudden illness. The medical examiner reported the cause of death as an aortic dissection related to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

During the memorial service, President Trump handed Tic Tac mints to Senator JD Vance and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Darline Graham, the late senator’s sister, announced her intention to run for the U.S. Senate seat representing South Carolina.

She said she has been praying, consulting with family, and feels a sense of inner peace about the decision, while acknowledging the campaign will be challenging.

President Trump subsequently endorsed Darline Graham for the upcoming special Republican primary scheduled for August 11, 2026.

The endorsement highlighted her family’s long‑standing involvement in South Carolina politics and expressed confidence in her ability to continue her brother’s legacy.
