Tottenham Targets £65M Chelsea Star in Transfer Window

Tottenham Targets £65M Chelsea Star in Transfer Window

Tottenham have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as part of their effort to strengthen the attacking lineup after a disappointing season. Jackson's arrival would add depth to the club's forward line.

The club has already invested heavily in midfield, acquiring Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali for a combined fee of £185 million, and Jan Paul van Hecke for £52 million. Depth has also been added through free transfers of Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka.

Despite these moves, Tottenham’s manager remains open to further signings, with a focus on attacking reinforcements and uncertainty surrounding Richarlison’s future at the club.

The team has also been linked with Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, indicating an interest in adding more firepower to the squad.

Intermediaries have approached Tottenham regarding Nicolas Jackson, who returned from a loan spell at Bayern Munich and has scored 24 Premier League goals in his first two seasons with Chelsea.

Jackson faces increased competition for minutes after Chelsea’s recent acquisitions of Emmanuel Emegha and Danny Welbeck, and the club has set an asking price of £65 million for the striker.

Aston Villa has expressed interest in Jackson, with manager Unai Emery eager to reunite with the player, while Tottenham’s negotiations remain in an exploratory phase.

In addition, former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun has reportedly been offered to Tottenham through his representatives; the player joined Monaco in 2023 for £34 million after limited appearances for Arsenal.

Balogun has scored 31 goals in 91 matches for Monaco and netted three goals during the recent World Cup, making him an attractive option for teams seeking a proven striker.
