Chase Sapphire Preferred Offers 100,000 Points Again

Chase Sapphire Preferred Offers 100,000 Points Again

The recent 100,000-point bonus offer on a popular credit card has ended, but some users may still be able to access the higher offer through referral links. Many people waited until the last minute to apply, resulting in hundreds of applications after the offer expired. Although the public offer has dropped to 75,000 points, referral links may still provide an opportunity to earn the higher bonus.

Existing cardholders can earn bonus points for successful referrals, making this a beneficial option for both current and prospective cardholders. To generate a referral link, cardholders can visit the card issuer's website, enter their last name, ZIP code, and last four digits of their card, and click continue. This will create a customized link that can be shared with others.

If someone applies and is approved through the referral link, the cardholder can earn 15,000 bonus points, up to a total of 100,000 points per calendar year. At the time of writing, these links still display the elevated bonus of 100,000 points after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.

To access the higher bonus, users will need a referral link. Existing cardholders can share their links with others, allowing them to apply for the card and potentially earn the higher bonus. It is essential to note that cardholders can only earn 100,000 bonus points via referrals, which means seven successful applications, and there are limitations on the number of referrals that can be made within a month.

The card issuer's referral page states that if 10 or more friends use the referral URL within a month to apply and are approved for the card, the cardholder may not receive any points for those friends. Once a referral link has been used seven times, it is recommended that users do not apply using that link anymore to avoid any potential issues.

In summary, while the public 100,000-point bonus offer has ended, referral links may still provide an opportunity to earn the higher bonus. Existing cardholders can share their referral links with others, and prospective cardholders can apply through these links to potentially earn the higher bonus. However, it is crucial to be aware of the limitations and guidelines surrounding referrals to avoid any issues.
