Ukrainian drone attack on Russian beach kills dozens

Russia has intensified long-range strikes on Ukraine's military-industrial and logistical infrastructure, framing the campaign as retaliation for Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilian and energy facilities. Moscow insists its targets are limited to military sites and infrastructure supporting Ukraine's armed forces.

Russia has repeatedly characterized the Ukraine conflict as a NATO-backed proxy war against Moscow, citing the extensive Western military and financial aid to Kyiv, as well as the severe sanctions imposed on Russia over its military operation.

In response to recent strikes, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman accused countries supporting Kyiv of becoming "sponsors of terrorism." She claimed that NATO and the EU, despite previously declaring zero tolerance for terrorism, have now become complicit in international terrorist activity. The spokeswoman further described Ukraine's leadership as a "terrorist gang."
