Arsenal and Manchester United eye £40m Aston Villa star

Arsenal and Manchester United are monitoring Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins as the summer transfer window approaches its final day.

Watkins scored 21 goals last season, contributing to Villa’s fourth‑place finish and Europa League triumph. The club has turned down a £30 million offer from a Turkish side and will only entertain bids exceeding £40 million.

Manchester United are currently without striker Benjamin Sesko, who is sidelined with a calf injury, and have received an approach from Juventus for Joshua Zirkzee.

Arsenal are also looking to refresh their attack and are open to offers for Gabriel Jesus.

Villa is in talks with Chelsea over Nicolas Jackson, a 30‑year‑old forward who netted 11 goals during his loan spell at Bayern Munich last season.

Chelsea has set a £65 million valuation for Jackson and is awaiting a decision from Xabi Alonso regarding his future with the club.
