A social media influencer from British Columbia has taken her own life, following a diagnosis of young-onset Alzheimer's Disease, sparking discussions surrounding medical assistance in dying (MAID) choices in Canada. The renowned social media personality, Rebecca Luna, who had around 90,000 followers, shared her personal struggles with her illness and her decision to end her life, as she did not want to burden her family with her suffering. According to reports, Rebecca Luna's family has stated that her actions were driven by her deteriorating health condition and the wish to alleviate her family's burden.
