The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, transported evidence to the White House on Monday in an effort to prove that damage to the Reflecting Pool resulted from construction defects rather than vandalism.
She presented the evidence to President Trump during a private meeting in the Oval Office, following the president’s public criticism of her decision to drop criminal charges against Olympic canoeist David Hearn.
After the meeting, Pirro was photographed leaving the White House with a white box and additional bags containing interior department evidence that exonerated Hearn and others from criminal vandalism charges.
No comment was provided by Pirro’s office.
