The investigation into an Italian agency has expanded, with several sportsmen facing questioning by prosecutors.
The agency is accused of hosting celebrities and footballers at events across the city, sparking allegations of wrongdoing.
The players are among the first to face questioning by a prosecutor and her deputy, with around 50 sportsmen said to be tied to the investigation.
Inter Milan star Alessandro Bastoni, 27, was allegedly set to speak with prosecutors, although he did not appear at the office for questioning as scheduled.
Bastoni denies claims of a sexual relationship with an underage girl, who was 17 and eight months old at the time of the alleged incident in July 2021.
The girl, who met Bastoni in the small town of Cinisello Balsamo, testified that she denied receiving payment for sex.
Under Italian law, Bastoni received a blind summons to the Milan Prosecutor’s Office, which does not imply guilt and does not require his attendance.
The investigation continues, with no further information available at this time.
