Trump releases new video of Reflecting Pool vandalism

The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, a historic landmark in Washington D.C., has been a victim of vandalism, with multiple individuals allegedly destroying and removing its lining. A video posted by President Trump appears to show individuals sticking their hands in the pool, causing damage to the lining.

Over a dozen people have been arrested or cited for their suspected role in the vandalism, with the most notable arrest being that of former Olympian David Hearn. A grand jury had returned an indictment against Hearn, charging him with up to ten years in prison for his alleged involvement in the vandalism.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the Justice Department has dropped the charges against Hearn, citing a flawed installation by the contractor as the cause of the damage. US Attorney Jeanine Pirro initially accused Hearn of violently and forcefully ripping up the sealant, but later changed her stance.

President Trump has come out against the decision to drop the charges, slamming US Attorney Pirro for dismissing the case. The incident has sparked controversy, with Trump's criticism of Pirro's decision adding fuel to the fire.
