The York Regional Police have charged a 39-year-old Vaughan man with 17 offences in connection with a series of break-and-enters at condominiums.
The suspects, who used a glue-like substance on condo doors, would later check to see if the glue had been disturbed in order to determine if the units were occupied before committing the break-ins.
Police executed search warrants at a residence and a vehicle in Vaughan and charged Malkhazi Khutsishvili with nine counts of break and enter with intent, six counts of fail to comply with judicial release order, possession of break in instruments and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Khutsishvili was bound by a judicial release order that required him to remain at his residence between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. at the time of the offences.
The investigation continues as police seek a second suspect in the series of robberies.
