Prosecutors say a text from Morris to a contact named White expressed confusion over the disappearance of a young female friend associated with Marty.
The message read: “WTF is going on Michael? Why did Marty leave his young female friend here? And when is he coming back to get her?”
After a reply from Leaverton stating “I’m headed there now,” Morris responded, offering help and reminding to bring the backpacks.
The couple is charged with accessory to a capital felony and obstruction following the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
