The popular competition series is preparing a major format overhaul ahead of its eighth season.
Veteran presenter Alan Carr joins the existing panel alongside Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross.
Rather than serving as a conventional judge, Carr will lead a separate “Wild Cards” team that will face off against a newly created “Legends” panel for the title of best detective.
Speaking about the change, Carr said he looks forward to participating in the studio environment and contributing to the new dynamic.
Host Joel Dommett will return to guide contestants and audiences through the musical guessing game.
Since its debut in 2020, the show has crowned winners such as Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan, McFly’s Danny Jones, West End star Samantha Barks, Busted’s Charlie Simpson, Joss Stone and Natalie Imbruglia.
The inaugural season featured a contestant dressed as “Queen Bee,” marking the start of the series’ distinctive costume‑driven format.
Filming for the upcoming season is scheduled to begin in the autumn, with a broadcast launch planned for January 2027.
All previous seasons are now available for streaming on the network’s on‑demand service.
