Hyatt's Unveils Plans for 2027 Opening of New Property in Zimbabwe's Premier Tourist Destination

Hyatt is set to open its second hotel in Zimbabwe in late 2027, offering a new and historic way to experience one of the world's most stunning natural phenomena. The Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom will provide easy access to the Victoria Falls rainforest, located just a five-minute walk away, and will serve as a jumping off point for safaris and other experiences in the surrounding area. This hotel will be the closest to the entrance of Victoria Falls national park on the Zimbabwean side of the border. The property's location represents a truly exceptional setting, with its landmark location just moments from the Victoria Falls rainforest.

The Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom is a redeveloped property, originally built in 1966 and renovated in 1999, and will undergo an extensive renovation to feature 245 guestrooms, three dining venues, a spa, fitness center, and a grand lobby lounge. The hotel will also offer over 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space, providing ample opportunities for gatherings and events. Upon completion, the hotel will welcome guests to take advantage of its various amenities and services.

World of Hyatt members will be able to earn and redeem benefits at the new property, although redemption rates have not been announced. The hotel's opening marks a significant milestone in Hyatt's expansion across Africa, reinforcing the company's commitment to growing its brand presence in the region and providing more travel choices in inspiring destinations. This new property will join Hyatt's existing hotel in Zimbabwe, the Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles, located in the country's capital.

Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a massive landscape feature that straddles the borders of Zimbabwe and Zambia, offering a span of over a mile in width, roughly twice the width of Niagara Falls. The falls provide a unique and awe-inspiring experience for visitors, and the new Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom will offer a convenient and luxurious base from which to explore this natural wonder. With its rich history, stunning natural beauty, and modern amenities, the hotel is poised to become a premier destination for travelers to the region.

The Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom will offer a range of experiences and activities, from safaris and wildlife viewing to exploring the surrounding area and taking in the local culture. The hotel's extensive meeting and event space will also make it an attractive option for conferences, weddings, and other gatherings. With its unique blend of history, luxury, and natural beauty, the Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom is set to become a standout destination in Zimbabwe and a must-visit for travelers to the region.
