Chelsea Sets Price for Pedro Neto, Aiming to Sign Him at Man City

Manchester City have set their sights on Chelsea winger Pedro Neto, with the English club placing a £70 million valuation on the 26‑year‑old.

Neto delivered five goals and six assists in a difficult Premier League season, making him a top attacking target for City.

The winger joined Chelsea in 2024 for around £51 million and helped the club lift the Europa Conference League and the Club World Cup.

He recently flew to Hong Kong with Xabi Alonso’s squad for a pre‑season clash with Juventus.

City is preparing a substantial opening bid, potentially reaching the £70 million mark, to gauge Chelsea’s willingness to sell.

Manager Enzo Maresca, who previously coached Neto at Chelsea, is a key figure in the negotiations.

Although AC Milan has expressed interest, City aims to secure the deal before the transfer deadline.

Milan has listed Neto among its top wingers as it anticipates the possible departure of Rafael Leao.

Chelsea regards Neto as a vital squad member but may accept a high offer that could alter his future with the club.

Agent Jorge Mendes has explored a move to Al‑Hilal, but Neto prefers to remain at the highest level of competition.

While a guaranteed starting role at City is uncertain, Neto remains open to leaving Chelsea.

Neto’s contract with Chelsea runs until June 2031.

Xabi Alonso noted that the transfer window will bring numerous rumors and emphasized the need for squad balance.

A sale of Neto would aid Chelsea’s financial balance following a record transfer for Morgan Rogers.

During the summer, Chelsea added Maxence Lacroix, Marco Palestra, Danny Welbeck, and Valentin Barco to the squad, with Jordan Henderson expected to join.

The club also signed Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano as a replacement for Marc Cucurella at left back.
