Princess Eugenie Welcomes Baby Daughter in Portugal

Princess Eugenie Welcomes Baby Daughter in Portugal

Princess Eugenie has announced the birth of her baby girl, born on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, at 6:20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces at birth. The royal family, including The King and Queen, were delighted to be informed of the news. The new arrival is the fifth grandchild of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The baby girl will be 15th in line to the throne, with her great uncle moving down to 16th place. She will also be the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the third to be born since her death in 2022. This birth marks a significant addition to the royal family, with the baby girl becoming a part of the family's lineage.

The birth of Princess Eugenie's baby girl is a rare occasion, as it is not common for a member of the royal family to be born overseas. However, Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have a home and connections in Portugal, which made it a suitable location for the birth. The couple has a strong relationship, having met in 2010 through mutual friends.

Jack Brooksbank has a background in hospitality, having worked his way up the ranks in various establishments, including a pub in Chelsea and a nightclub in Mayfair. He and Princess Eugenie are said to have received the Queen's blessing for their marriage in 2016, during a meeting at Balmoral. The couple's relationship has been supported by the royal family, and the birth of their baby girl is a welcome addition to the family.
