Philippines Ranked 98th in Global Climate Vulnerability and

The Philippines has been ranked 98th out of 190 countries in the latest update of the Notre Dame Global Adaptation Initiative Country Index. The country scored 47.1 out of 100, where higher is better, indicating its vulnerability to climate change.

The index, which used 2024 data, ranks countries based on their overall climate vulnerability and adaptation readiness. The Philippines' ranking suggests that it is one of the most vulnerable and least ready countries in the region to address the impacts of climate change.

With a score of 47.1, the Philippines faces significant challenges in adapting to climate-related risks such as extreme weather events, sea-level rise, and changes in temperature and precipitation patterns.
