Chelsea Weighs Selling £54M Star to Liverpool or Man Utd

Chelsea is reportedly open to selling winger Pedro Neto, with the club expecting significant funds from a potential transfer.

The 26-year-old Portugal international joined the Blues from Wolves two years ago in a deal worth over £50 million, but has shown only glimpses of his potential during his time at Stamford Bridge.

The constant managerial changes and influx of new players have made it difficult for Neto to establish himself in the team, with new Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca reportedly keen on a reunion with the winger.

Liverpool and clubs in Saudi Arabia are also monitoring Neto's situation, with Chelsea not actively pushing for a sale but believing they could generate a substantial profit if they were to part company with the player.

The Blues are expecting significant interest in top-class wingers this summer, with RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain asking for fees well in excess of £100 million for players like Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola.

Chelsea themselves broke the British transfer record this summer, paying £117 million to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, and are now likely to be in a strong bargaining position to secure a significant profit from Neto's sale.

Neto is currently on downtime after representing Portugal at the World Cup and is not with the Chelsea team on their pre-season tour of Australia, which has started in Sydney.

The club's other Portuguese right winger, Geovany Quenda, is due to join up with his teammates after the Australian leg of the tour, but is currently dealing with a small injury, while new striker Emmanuel Emegha will return to training at a later date after suffering a hamstring issue during a behind-closed-doors friendly win over Bromley.
