The 2026 Mercury Prize shortlist has been announced, featuring a mix of established stars and emerging talent.

The list spans a wide spectrum of styles, from Florence + The Machine’s soaring pop to Nia Archives’ experimental electronic sound, and includes high-profile names such as Paul McCartney alongside fresh voices like Knats and Dove Ellis.
Florence + The Machine’s new record, Everybody Scream, has received strong critical acclaim, while Dave’s third album is highly anticipated after his previous win. Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving topped the charts, and RAYE has recently secured multiple Brit Awards, adding further momentum to her nomination.
