Aston Villa and Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Bologna attacker Jonathan Rowe, a 23-year-old former England Under-21 international who has impressed in Italy with his physicality and technical attributes.
Aston Villa have already held discussions with Bologna regarding a move for Rowe, who contributed to 13 goals last season, and will look to make a profit on the player after signing him for around £15 million.
Meanwhile, Chelsea has been tracking Rowe's development for a long time and could look to make a move if they manage to sell Alejandro Garnacho this summer, who has been underwhelming since joining Chelsea from Manchester United.
Aston Villa's interest in Rowe comes as the club has sanctioned the departure of Morgan Rogers and Leon Bailey is expected to leave the club as well, creating space for new signings.
Both Aston Villa and Chelsea could provide Rowe with an attractive destination, with Aston Villa offering the opportunity to compete in the Champions League next season and Chelsea being one of the biggest clubs in the world.
The move to England would be a step up for Rowe, and he will look to showcase his qualities in the Premier League, potentially fighting for trophies with either Aston Villa or Chelsea next season.
