In her latest match, she convincingly defeated Argentine Soledad Ayala 4-0, 4-2, in the losers' qualification round to secure a spot in the knockout Last 16.
Amit has a storied past in the world of pool, having won the world 9-ball championship once and twice in this annual event. Her ultimate goal is to claim a historic third world 10-ball crown, an aspiration she had previously come close to achieving. In last year's championship in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, she made it to the finals but ultimately lost to countrywoman Chezka Centeno.
