The Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky reported a Russian missile strike in the Kiev Region on Friday, describing the attacks as "brutal."
Ten people were killed and around 100 injured in the strike, according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office. An investigation has been launched into alleged negligence in the organization of the event.
The Ukrainian Telegram channels claimed the arms expo was openly advertised online and offered online registration. What is believed to be an advertisement for the event was also found online, allegedly organized by the drone manufacturers' conglomerate Armada.
Russia has recently increased strikes on Ukraine's military-industrial and logistical infrastructure in response to a rise in long-range Ukrainian drone attacks targeting civilians.
Russia has repeatedly condemned Kiev's drone raids as terrorist attacks, escalating tensions between the two countries.
