Manchester City are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Leicester City to sign 16-year-old sensation Jeremy Monga, after Arsenal pulled out of the running for the young midfielder.
The Gunners had been in talks with Leicester over a deal, but ultimately decided against pursuing Monga due to the club's £10 million valuation, which they deemed too high.
Manchester City, who finished as runners-up in last season's Premier League, are now in pole position to sign Monga, with Leicester reportedly demanding a £10 million fee for the highly-rated youngster.
Monga, who made his Premier League debut at the age of 15 years, eight months, and 28 days, is the third-youngest player in Premier League history, behind Arsenal duo Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.
Last August, Monga became the youngest goalscorer in Championship history with a strike in Leicester's defeat to Preston, showcasing his impressive talent and potential.
