Katie Price has addressed the widespread speculation surrounding her husband Lee Andrews' hair, a topic that has dominated social media for weeks.
After weeks of internet detectives analyzing every strand of his hair, Katie finally spoke out on the matter during the latest episode of her podcast, saying that Lee wants a hair transplant, but that's not what happened.
Katie insisted that the rumors have spiralled well beyond reality, and that Lee's disappearance and subsequent imprisonment in Dubai have taken precedence over the discussion of his hair.
"He does want a hair transplant, and he will get a hair transplant, so that is that," she said, dismissing the speculation.
Katie also questioned why cosmetic procedures for men continue to attract so much attention, while women who undergo similar procedures face little to no scrutiny.
"Why is it when men, in general, have surgery, hair transplants, or anything like that, no one says anything, but when us women do, 'Oh, it's this, it's that'?" she asked.
Katie argued that hair restoration should be treated no differently, pointing out that many men undergo hair transplants without facing criticism, while women who do so are often subject to negative comments.
The former glamour model even compared the treatment to something millions of women already use without attracting nearly as much discussion, such as hair extensions.
"I have hair extensions. What's wrong with that? Most girls have hair extensions. No one goes on about having fake hair put in for hair extensions," she said.
Katie's comments come after weeks of speculation about Andrews' appearance, with many fans trying to work out what had happened to his hair after he reappeared on social media following his release from prison in Dubai.
Some suggested he'd undergone a hair transplant in secret, while others wondered whether he was wearing a wig or hairpiece, with even Katie's own sister, Sophie Price, weighing in on the matter.
Katie appears keen to draw a line under the follicular frenzy, and has made it clear that Lee hasn't had a hair transplant yet, but plans to in the future.
