Newcastle Confirm Transfer Positions on Targeted Arsenal and Man

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is overseeing a major squad rebuilding effort this summer, with several key players potentially on the move.

The Magpies have insisted that midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is not for sale, and view left-back Lewis Hall as an important part of their long-term plans.

In fact, Newcastle are more interested in signing a new full-back to add competition, rather than letting Guimaraes or Hall depart.

Any potential offers for Guimaraes or Hall would require an enormous bid to convince the club to sell, given their importance to the team.

Other regulars in the Newcastle first team may also be on the move if interest emerges in them, including Joe Willock and Jacob Murphy, who are both into the final 12 months of their contracts.

Newcastle are looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer, which could make Nick Pope available to leave, although there have been no concrete approaches for Willock, Murphy or Pope so far.

The club has already brought in goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Reims, but the 20-year-old is not expected to be the first choice in the goalkeeping position.

New signings Bazoumana Toure and Sean Steur have arrived from Hoffenheim and Ajax respectively, with a focus on recruiting young players for the future.

Toure and Steur are both just 18 and 20 years old respectively, and will be expected to contribute to the club's long-term plans.
