The Gunners have bolstered their attack with the signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, and the club's sporting director, Andrea Berta, is praising the new addition.
Tzolis, a Greece international, is Arsenal's second signing of the summer, following the deal for backup goalkeeper Illan Meslier, and it appears to be the first exciting addition to Mikel Arteta's squad.
The 24-year-old wide player is seen as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who recently left Arsenal for Besiktas, and Berta believes he has the quality and character to succeed at the Emirates Stadium.
"Christos is an extremely versatile attacking player who naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line," Berta said.
"He's an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability."
Tzolis has produced outstanding numbers in terms of goals and assists over the last three seasons, and Berta believes he will raise the technical level of the squad, while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm, and a strong mentality to the team.
"We're confident Christos will make a significant contribution to our club, and we hope our supporters will enjoy watching him play in an Arsenal shirt," Berta said.
The signing of Tzolis may be a welcome boost to the Arsenal attack, but the club still has other issues to address, including William Saliba's injury, which may prompt a search for a new centre-back.
