Van crashes into Pride crowd, killing one and injuring dozens

German authorities canceled a popular pride festival in Berlin on Saturday after a white van crashed into the festivities, resulting in multiple injuries and at least one fatality.

Police and rescue units were deployed to the scene in the Großer Tiergarten area, where numerous people were injured.

The incident occurred during the annual Christopher Street Day festival, a large LGBTQ+ pride event that drew hundreds of thousands of people.

According to police, the injured are being treated by rescue personnel, and several of those injured have life-threatening injuries.

Police are conducting an intensive manhunt for suspects, with initial reports suggesting it may be one or more individuals.

No motive has been released, and the police are still investigating the cause of the incident.

The Christopher Street Day festival was scheduled to end Saturday evening with a show at Tiergarten park near Brandenberg Gate.
