As the summer temperatures continue to rise, Ontario’s animal welfare organization, the OSPCA, is urging pet owners to prioritize pet safety during the upcoming long weekend.
Veterinarian Bonnie Bishop, the east regional manager of community outreach, is urging pet owners to ensure their furry friends are not only safe but also comfortable during these hot weather conditions.
In an exclusive interview, Bishop stated, "It’s so important to keep animals safe during the summer months by keeping them away from hot cars, too."

"When it comes to hot weather, it's not just about leaving your pet in your car to avoid heatstroke, but also taking precautions to avoid heat stroke as well," she added.
