Law enforcement executed a search warrant at a residence on Pebblestone Lane in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, on Sunday in connection with the disappearance of 30‑year‑old Jordan Wishon, who was reported missing on Friday.
During the early‑morning search, investigators uncovered human remains buried on the property and subsequently confirmed they belonged to Wishon.
The investigation resulted in an indictment of 25‑year‑old Jaydakis Kashaune Hamilton on a charge of first‑degree murder. Hamilton is currently incarcerated at the Polk County Detention Center on unrelated offenses and has not yet been served with the new warrant.
Hamilton’s prior record includes a recent arrest for vehicle theft in Polk County, earlier charges of reckless driving and resisting arrest, and nearly 90 documented cases across four counties.
Wishon leaves behind a child and a fiancé. Her sister expressed deep grief, describing the loss as unfair and pledging to pursue justice.
