Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith have unveiled a proposed route for a new 3,300-km crude oil pipeline, stretching from Alberta to Sarnia in Ontario. The pipeline, dubbed "Northern Shield," promises to be the country's first pipeline for western oil to reach the east that's contained completely within Canada.
